Note: Yuelu Academy is located at the foot of the mountain in the east of Yuelu on the west bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a traditional Chinese academy building and one of the four famous academies in History of China. In 1988, the Yuelu Academy complex was approved by the State Council as the third batch of Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.

Note: Huang Shoudao, male, Han nationality, was born in Zixing, Hunan University in October 1962, secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor. On April 23, 2021, he was selected into the list of valid candidates for additional election of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2021.

Conduct in-depth research on permanent magnet direct drive wind power generation technology, high-power permanent magnet motors and their control, high-performance permanent magnet servo systems and their control, electric drive and energy-saving technology, wind farm grid connection control and flexible DC transmission technology, and convert theoretical and technical achievements into technical equipment, and develop technology and equipment with independent intellectual property rights and international advanced level. The research results have been applied to industries such as new energy generation, special vehicles, electric vehicles, and electric tools, with significant economic and social benefits. I have led and participated in national key research and development plan projects, national natural science foundation key projects, general projects, national key international scientific and technological cooperation projects, national "11th Five Year" and "12th Five Year" science and technology support plan projects, military pre research projects, military product supporting projects, and major science and technology projects in Hunan Province More than 30 projects including the "Hunan Provincial Natural Science Innovation Group Fund Project" have been applied for and obtained 16 national invention patents, 8 utility model patents, and more than 150 high-level papers have been published, including more than 60 SCI and EI entries.
